DIY Hand Sanitizer with CBD

At times like these it’s important to be proactive and diligent to protect yourself from contracting Coronavirus (COVID-19). In addition to social distancing, the CDC recommends keeping your hands clean, as an important way to prevent contracting and spreading the disease.

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and if soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. While hand-sanitizers are in low supply right now, we have a solution—make your own!

Why add CBD? Many scientists are conducting studies on Cannabidiol (CBD) Recent studies have shown that CBD is remarkably effective at killing a wide range of Gram-positive bacteria. Though COVID-19 is a virus rather than bacteria, CBD is an excellent additive to your at-home hand-sanitizer recipe to give it an added anti-bacterial boost. Also, the oil in Heritage Hemp Extract Oil Drops will help counter the drying effect of the alcohol on your skin.
